Chinese medicine videos

Chinese medicine is based on the concept that our bodies are small universes with sets of complete and sophisticated systems that interconnect. These systems need to work in balance to maintain a healthy functioning human body. Traditional Chinese medicine philosophy is derived from the same philosophical base as Taoist philosophy development. This is a reflection of the classical Chinese belief that on all levels, the life and activity of a human being has a close/direct relationship with their environment. Most of the world considers traditional Chinese medicine a Complementary or Alternative Medical system, and believe it to be very effective, especially where palliative care is concerned where the best practices of Western medicine fail, for example, routine ailments such as flu, allergies, and managing to avoid toxic compound medicines that are made of chemicals. Pharmacological compounds are taken from some Chinese herbal medicines like Chinese wormwood, which was the source for the discovery of artemisinin. Artemisinin is used to treat drug resistant strains of malaria. It is also being investigated as a cancer curing agent. Inside China, there is a lot of cooperation between traditional practitioners and Western medicine doctors as Chinese herbal medicine has many compounds which are not used by Western medicine. Click on the video travel tour below to take a foot massage in a famous medical centre in Beijing china.

chinese wire & paint art on wood videos

This was amazing to watch when I was in Beijing. First these chinese artisans cut out pieces of brass wire and glued together a basic picture shape on a wooden base, then another artisan skillfully filled in the wire design with colours creating a beautifully bright picture. I have no idea what it is called, but if you know please let us know. Check it out on the video travel tour below.
